Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a Middle School English teacher (Grades 5 – 8) beginning September 2018.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in English as well as exemplary experience as an English and/or Language Arts teacher in the upper elementary and middle grades. Strong candidates will place a high value on differentiated instruction and have experience working with students in a writing workshop.

Qualified candidates will possess intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to others’ ideas, eagerness to extend themselves for others, and a sense of humor. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with middle school students and an understanding of the unique needs of this age group.

Responsibilities will include a full-time teaching load of four sections, advising a group of 8-10 students, additional supervision duties, and attending grade-level and faculty meetings.
