Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West of Manhattan, seeks a Public Service Coordinator for its Office of Public Service, beginning July 1, 2019.

The Public Service Coordinator works closely with the Director of Public Service to implement, manage, and schedule the events and activities carried out by Trinity’s robust K-12 Public Service Program. The coordinator will provide essential administrative and programmatic support for the curricular and extracurricular initiatives that originate in the office. The work of the Office of Public Service interfaces with many facets of the community including students, parents, faculty, staff, administration as well as neighbors in the surrounding community. The Coordinator must have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical, and event planning skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office, the Google Drive suite, and website creation and maintenance. The Coordinator must be highly organized, proactive, a multi-tasker and have a deep commitment to service.  Candidates must be available for evening events several times per month.  Master’s degree preferred. 

Tasks include, but are not limited, to:

  • Administrative Support:
    • Serve as the centralized administrative point person for the Public Service Program and Director of Public Service including scheduling, organizing, and programming
    • Draft, edit, and format the monthly Public Service Program newsletter
    • Continually update the program’s webpage
    • Manage the Public Service Program budget
  • Program Coordination:
    • Manage Upper School Community Circle Registration
    • Schedule ongoing public service initiatives, programs, and events for Grades K – 12
    • Continue to develop effective systems for coordinating and managing K-12 public service work and fostering connections across all school divisions to meet the strategic goals of the Office of Public Service
  • Event Management and Support
    • Coordinate and communicate all event logistics with building services, dining services, security staff, faculty/staff, parents and students volunteers
    • Attend monthly Senior Citizen Bingo Nights, monthly Advent/Trinity Community Meal and the Annual Thanksgiving Meal
    • Manage event outreach with community partners
