Description

Trinity School, a coeducational K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a Lower School Administrative Coordinator beginning July 2017.

The Lower School administrative team consists of  the Lower School Principal, Lower School Assistant Principal and two Administrative Coordinators, who work together to ensure the smooth operation of the Lower School (K-4).

The primary job tasks for this Administrative Coordinator position include:

  • Providing general administrative support for the Principal and Assistant Principal including answering phone calls and emails, assisting parents and families with general inquiries, creating a hospitable environment, and acting as the first line of communication between the faculty, families, other school divisions, and the larger Trinity community.
  • Generating and managing the Lower School calendar of events, Principal’s calendar and Assistant Principal’s calendar.
  • Coordinating room reservations and event scheduling for classroom teachers.
  • Tracking faculty absences and scheduling substitutes.
  • Managing record keeping including, but not limited to, student reports, budget tracking, check requests and purchase orders.
  • Drafting and editing communications for meetings, the Trinity community, and Trinity families.

Applicants should be hard-working, cheerful, effective in communicating with adults and children, as well as experienced in Microsoft Word, Outlook, managing calendars, and providing administrative support. Highly qualified candidates will be familiar with office technology and able to learn systems used by Trinity School, be able to communicate clearly and efficiently with all school constituencies, and be both detail-oriented and forward-thinking.  Proficiency in Spanish is highly welcomed.
