Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West of Manhattan, seeks a Learning Specialist to serve students in grades K-4, to provide specialized academic services in the form of individual, small, and large group co-teaching, with an emphasis on bringing together research and best teaching practices to remediate the vulnerable aspects of our students across academic settings, with special emphasis on reading, writing, and organizational skills, beginning in September 2019.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated, skilled learning specialist with a Master's degree in special education, learning disabilities, or related field of study and able to work effectively with Lower School students, faculty, and families.  In addition, the School seeks candidates who possess intellectual curiosity, a commitment to ongoing professional development, an openness to others’ ideas, an eagerness to extend oneself for others, and a sense of humor.  Due to the nature of the position, strong organizational and communication skills are required.
