Description

Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West of Manhattan, seeks an Administrative Coordinator to the Director of Learning Support, beginning May 15, 2018.

The Administrative Coordinator to the Director of Learning Support reports directly to the Director of Learning Support and works closely with all members of the Learning Support team.  This individual supports the work of the school’s Learning Support Department and is deeply involved in the day-to-day work of the department, administration, faculty and students.

Essential Duties

  • Provide administrative support to Director of Learning Support including calendar management, correspondence, document management, etc.
  • Serve as SSD College Board and ACT Coordinator.  This includes actively managing student records to ensure accommodations for students with documented disabilities
  • Communicate and support families and students as they navigate the SSD process
  • Arrange special testing conditions for Trinity students who receive accommodations on standardized tests
  • Arrange and administer testing for Trinity students who qualify for school-based standardized testing (this may include weekends)
  • Work with families and students in soliciting materials and compiling applications for accommodations on standardized tests
  • Manage appeals process for students denied accommodations on standardized tests
  • Collaborate closely with the Office of College Counseling to synchronize testing recommendations and timelines for Learning Support Students
  • Assist in planning Department of Learning Support events
  • Maintain a comfortable, reassuring, and supportive attitude and atmosphere for faculty, staff, students, parents and visitors.
  • Compile and organize student universal assessment reports
  • Create and update the school-wide student accommodations list
  • Coordinate meetings including room scheduling, set up, sending announcements, preparing agendas, etc.
  • Manage multiple projects without compromising attention to detail
  • Establish, maintain and update student files and keep accurate records
  • Type, proofread, edit and prepare final drafts of various documents
  • Copy and circulate written materials and reports
  • Perform general clerical and support duties
  • Take notes in Learning Support department and parent meetings as needed
  • Oversee proctoring of extended time administration of AP exams
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Learning Support
