Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks an experienced Middle School History Teacher, beginning September 2018.

Qualified candidates will have at least a Bachelor’s degree in History; an advanced degree and at least two years of teaching experience at the Middle School level are preferred. Candidates must be able to teach a range of historical topics.

Qualified candidates will also possess a commitment to the study of history, enthusiasm for intellectual engagement with students, strong communication skills, commitment to ongoing professional development, a willingness to work with others, and a sense of humor. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with middle school students and an understanding of the unique needs of this age group.

Responsibilities will include a full-time teaching load of four sections, advising a group of 8-10 students, additional supervision duties, and attending grade level and faculty meetings.
