Trinity School, a coeducational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks an Associate Chaplain, beginning September 2015.
 
The Associate Chaplain reports to the Chaplain.  Responsibilities include: 

• Leading the Middle School chapel program.
• Assisting at weekly chapel services in each of the school’s three divisions, as well with other annual chapel events (4 annual “All School” services, Senior Baccalaureate and Freshman Matriculation, and voluntary weekly Eucharist). 
• Assisting with Communal and Pastoral Care.

Responsibilities may include: 

• Teaching in the Religion, Philosophy and Ethics Department, or in Another Academic Discipline.
• Helping Shape and Guide the School’s Work on Pluralism and Diversity.
• Helping Build, Shape and Guide the Connections of the School to New York City, by Means of Service, Service Learning, and Academic Inquiry.

Interested candidates must be enthusiastic about working in this pluralistic and academically rigorous Episcopal school.  Important attributes include an ability to organize groups of people to do the work of chapel, to connect with organizations outside the school, and to teach, preach, and learn in a school that celebrates varying religious and philosophical points of view. 
 
Ordination or Ordination Track required.  Prior teaching experience preferred.
