Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a part-time Health Education Teacher to teach students in Kindergarten through Grade 5, beginning in September 2019.

Candidate qualifications include: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in health education (or CHES certification); background in teaching lower school students; experience with enhancing and developing health education curriculum; and excellent communication skills with students, families, and teachers in a variety of forums.
 

The responsibilities of this position include:

• Teaching creative and interactive K-5 Health classes on such topics as: decision making, healthy habits, nutrition, hygiene, healthy relationships, self-esteem, mental health, and sexual health;
• Developing a comprehensive health education program;
• Providing family education; and
• Collaborating with other departments at Trinity, such as: Office of Diversity and Community, School Psychologists, School Nurses, Educational Technology, and Administration.
