Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West of Manhattan, seeks an experienced Middle School Science Teacher, beginning in September 2020.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline, science education, or related fields; an advanced degree in science or science education and at least 3 years of science teaching with the middle school age group are preferred. The successful candidate would fit into a middle school science faculty which has a team of teachers in the fifth and sixth grades (primarily conceptual physics and its application to body systems and earth and planetary science) and a team in the seventh and eighth grades (primarily biology, ecology, and chemistry).  

The position will also include advising a group of 8-10 students, additional supervisory duties, and attending grade-level and faculty meetings. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional understanding of student learning needs, strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, a passion for middle school students, an ability to work cooperatively and generously with colleagues, a commitment to ongoing professional development, an eagerness to build community both within the school and with community partners, and a sense of humor.
