Description
Trinity School, a coeducational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a Part-Time Communications Intern (less than 20 hours per week), beginning immediately.
 
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the person assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties to be performed.  Under general supervision, assists in communications creation and archiving for print and electronic media.  This position reports to the Director of Communications.
 
Duties:
  • Research alumni activity (marriages, media appearances, etc.)
  • Send out solicitations for class notes.
  • Prepare student publications for e-publication
  • Scan, archive, catalog, identify, and file images for use in print and electronic communications.
  • Maintain budget.
  • Produce correspondence.
  • Manage electronic and paper files.
  • Enter data for use in print and electronic communications.
  • Upload content to social media and other electronic publications for the School.
Qualifications:
  • Must have knowledge of Windows operating system. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Photoshop preferred.
  • Knowledge in basic office organization, filing, and archiving is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with many constituencies.
  • Ability to work at all times with tact, diplomacy, and courtesy.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles creatively and positively.
Weekends and evenings may be required.  Work is performed in an office environment as well as in various off-site locations.
