Description

Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks an Administrative Assistant to the Office of Equity and Inclusion and Upper School Coordinator of Student Life starting July 1, 2025.   

The Administrative Assistant to the Office of Equity and Inclusion and Upper School Coordinator of Student Life is responsible for providing administrative support to the Office of Equity and Inclusion. This position is also responsible for coordinating various student field trips and events in the Upper School, as well as overseeing Upper School student clubs. This position reports to the Assistant Directors of the Office of Equity and Inclusion and the Upper School Principal, and works closely with the Upper School team, including the Assistant Principal, the office staff, the US equity and inclusion coordinators, and the deans.

Primary Responsibilities:

Administrative Assistant to the Office of Equity and Inclusion responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Providing administrative support to the Assistant Directors of Equity and Inclusion, including clerical support, calendar management, office communications, and supply maintenance;
  • Monitoring department budget accounts, including the management of expense and reimbursement requests;
  • Work with the Assistant Head of School’s office to arrange conference travel for the Assistant Directors of Equity and Inclusion;
  • Coordinating Equity and Inclusion events for students and employees, including partnering with the offices of Advancement and Admissions, when needed;
  • Acting as note taker for all Equity and Inclusion team meetings; and
  • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Directors of Equity and Inclusion.

Upper School Coordinator of Student Life responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinating student trips, including grade-level and class field trips, as well as Forensics trips. Responsibilities include booking tickets and transportation, coordinating logistics with teachers, managing permission slips, and ensuring chaperones understand field trip policies;
  • Coordinating Lunch and Learn sessions, including managing invitations, scheduling speakers, booking rooms, ordering refreshments, and working with students and teachers to create a seamless experience for speakers;
  • Providing administrative support to the Upper School Minimester Program;
  • Coordinating the annual Ice Skating Party, Prom, Prize Day, and Senior Week events;
  • Oversee the management of student clubs;
  • Coordinating the Upper School internship program;
  • Performing general Upper School Office duties such as filing, attendance, and scheduling, as needed; and
  • Other duties as assigned by the Upper School Principal and Assistant Principal.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and online publishing software such as Canva;
  • Strong administrative skills, including attention to detail and organizational skills, are required;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence;
  • An ability to act with discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality;
  • A courageous and caring commitment to nurturing each person’s dignity;
  • Complex decision-making skills and sound judgment; and

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 (salary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and expertise)
