Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks part-time Varsity Assistant Swim Coaches for the 2026-2027 Winter season. These part-time, seasonal, stipended position begin on November 3, 2026 and end on February 26, 2027, although planning and communication outside of the season is required. The season includes a Thanksgiving break and several other holidays.

Specific qualifications include significant experience with competitive swimming.  A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and collegiate swim experience is a plus. Qualified candidates will embrace the unique role of athletics in an independent school setting; have strong organizational skills; have experience in effectively managing relationships with athletes, coaches, and parents; have a solid understanding of the four competitive strokes; and be able to attend practices and meets.  Practices occur on weekdays with times varying between 2:45 and 5:45 PM. There are approximately 8 meets which may last beyond 5:45 PM.

Qualified candidates will also possess intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to others’ ideas, eagerness to extend themselves for others, and a sense of humor.
