Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks Baseball Coaches for the 2023 spring season. These part-time, seasonal, stipended positions begin in late February and end in mid-May, although planning and communication outside of the season is required.

Specific qualifications include significant experience with playing and/or coaching competitive baseball. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and collegiate baseball experience is a plus. Qualified candidates will embrace the unique role of athletics in an independent school setting; have strong organizational skills; embrace and uphold team values (e.g., positive sportsmanship, character, compassion, integrity); have experience in teaching tennis concepts at intermediate to advanced levels; have experience in effectively managing relationships with athletes, coaches, and parents; have a solid understanding of the skills and strategies in baseball; and be able to attend practices and games.

Varsity Assistant, Junior Varsity Head, Junior Varsity Assistant: Practices occur on weekdays with times varying between 3:30 and 6:00 PM. There are approximately 14 games which may last beyond 6:00 PM.

7th/8th Grade Head, 7th/8th Grade Assistant: Practices occur on three or four weekdays a week, depending on the Trinity color day, from 2:30 – 3:30 PM. There are approximately 6 games which occur after school.

Qualified candidates will also possess intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to others’ ideas, eagerness to extend themselves for others, and a sense of humor.

Seasonal salary range: Varsity and Junior Varsity: $3,500 - $4,000; 7th/8th Grades: $1,200 - $2,800 (late February through mid- May)
