Trinity School seeks a part-time Assistant Costumer for the Spring 2026 performance season. This part-time, seasonal stipended position begins as soon as possible and ends mid-June 2026.

Reporting to the Head of Performing Arts, the Assistant Costumer works directly with the Costume Designer to support the development and execution of the 7/8 Musical, the Upper School Musical, and the Actor's Studio Play production.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with garment construction, alterations, and maintenance;
• Help with costume fittings;
• Assist with quick changes and backstage costume support during performances;
• Collaborate in the construction of costume-related props as needed;
• Assist with the organization of the costume shop and storage areas;
• Assist with costume care; and
• Support strike and post-production costume needs.

The ideal candidate has experience with sewing including using a sewing machine and hand stitching, as well as experience in garment construction, alterations, and basic prop construction. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment with shifting timelines and priorities are essential.

The ideal candidate is comfortable supporting students of all ages and experience levels. They are flexible, creative, and willing to assist wherever needed. They help to maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive backstage and costume shop environment.

Hours will vary depending on performance calendars; however, most work will occur between 2:00 and 6:00 PM on weekdays. There will be occasional Saturdays and late nights required as well as organizational work during school breaks.
