Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a Coordinator for the Office of the Chaplaincy starting September 1, 2026.
Reporting to the Senior Chaplain, the Coordinator, Office of the Chaplaincy works closely with the Senior Chaplain to implement the Chapel program. The Coordinator will provide essential administrative and programmatic support for the program as well as event management.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Administrative Support:
- Serve as the centralized administrative point person for the Chapel program and Chaplains.
- Provide administrative assistance with the Chaplains’ scheduling, organizing, and programming.
- Maintain centralized records of activities, locations, and responsible team members.
- Establish and maintain Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School Chapel schedules.
- Reserve spaces for Chapel, meetings, and events (including divisional Chapels and weekly communion service).
- Administer the scheduling of the Johnson Chapel.
- Submit check requests to pay vendors and off-campus rental fees.
- Order supplies and maintain inventory.
- Format, draft, and send communications from the Office of Chaplaincy.
- Collect, format, and distribute senior speech and Chapel council applications to the Chapel council.
- Maintain and update the Spiritual Life page on TigerNet.
Event Management:
- All School Chapels (Opening, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Closing)
- Coordinate and communicate all logistics with Principals and Assistant Principals, Security, Performing Arts, Building Services, and the event site.
- Manage event logistics for all-school chapels, overseeing the transportation, setup, and breakdown of liturgical supplies, including banners, binders, programs, and vestments.
- Attend Chapels and provide support.
- Arrive early and ensure the set-up is complete at the venue before rehearsal.
- Baccalaureate and Matriculation
- Coordinate and communicate logistics, set-up, and breakdown.
- Create event programs.
- Order and send invitations.
- Attend events and provide support.
- Arrive early to ensure the venue is set up and be ready to pitch in on any last-minute needs
- Divisional Chapels
- Attend all divisional Chapels
- Coordinate with Building Services and Audio/Visual Team for Chapel set-up.
- Arrive early before rehearsals and confirm proper set-up.
- Format and distribute content to Chapel participants.
- Support faculty coordinators and students during rehearsals.
- Prepare lead sheet for Performing Arts and Audio/Visual Team.
- Create slideshows for all divisional Chapels.
- Manage slideshows during Chapel services.
Program and Student Support:
- Upper School Chapel Council
- Attend Upper School Chapel Council meetings, manage refreshments, and maintain accurate attendance records.
- Collaborate with the Upper School Chapel Coordinator and Chaplains to manage communication and logistics for guest speakers, presenters, and service participants.
- Provide programmatic and conceptual help for Chapels.
- Lower School Chapel Team
- Attend Lower School Chapel Team meetings.
- Ensure all participants have the necessary materials required for each meeting
- Oversee communications with fourth grade parents regarding fourth grade Chapel leader participation
- Send communications to affinity group leaders and parents of participants regarding student participation in affinity Chapels.
- Partner with fourth grade homeroom teachers and the Lower School Chapel Coordinator to assign, track, and maintain accurate records of student chapel roles.

- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a wide variety of tasks to support teachers, students, and families.

Starting Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000 (salary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and expertise)
