Description

Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a Receptionist-Admissions Assistant in the Admissions Office beginning on August 21, 2024. Trinity has two Admissions Offices: an office for Lower School Admissions (grades K-4) and an office for Middle School/Upper School Admissions (grades 5-12).  The Receptionist-Admissions Assistant will report to both offices.

The Receptionist-Admissions Assistant will greet and assist all families and visitors as they arrive at the Admissions Offices.  The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Lower School Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the processing of applications and creation of candidate folders;
  • Assist with scheduling appointments; and
  • Greet and welcome families as they arrive for their interview.

Middle and Upper School Admissions Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage a Google Spreadsheet for the daily tour and interview schedule, and share updates on a weekly basis with other offices;
  • Assist with the coordination of tour guides and visitors;
  • Work closely with the Middle and Upper School Admissions Director to capture all correspondence with applicants into the admissions portal;
  • Assist with research when needed;
  • Assist with the completion of applicant files into the admissions portal; and
  • Organize applicant data.

Important qualifications: Strong comfort and experience with office technology (e.g., Google Suite and basic database use), excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a team.

This is a seasonal position. For the 2024-2025 academic year, duties will begin on August 21, 2024 and end on February 14, 2025. The position is salaried with full benefits, including medical, as well as paid holidays and lunch on each work day.  The work hours are generally Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM with occasional weekend and evening hours for special events.

Starting Salary Range: $28,000 - $32,000 (salary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and expertise)
